The Tonik S is clean, minimal, functional and one of the team's favorite shoes. It seems to go out in almost every rider's gift box. It's got a Super Suede toe and vulcanized construction for board feel and flex. The upper is made from heavy duty suede, vent holes for breathability, and foam padded tongue and collar for comfort and support. Also has abrasion-resistant sticky rubber outsole and DC's trademarked pill pattern tread. Imported.

At the moment I have my 3rd pair of the shoe, if the mid version counts. I've had them all in a row except that I tried mikey taylor's. They weren't the shoes for me because of their cupsole construction. This tonik s shoe takes absolutely no time to break in and is very comfortable. Boardfeel is awesome too. The only problem is that the shoe is not very durable because of its thin suede, which is the thing that provides the boardfeel, so it's not all bad thing. I solved the durability problem by buying a glue gun. Now when there's about to become a hole or something, I can just glue it.

I've been skating these for about a month now, on and off. There the first DCs I've had in a long time, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with the increase in quality. The super-suede material IS really strong. No rips yet. The only con I have about these is that for the first 1 or 2 weeks that I walked around in the shoes, the back kind of dug into my heel, but now that they're broken in, they feel great.
