I work in a formal, office environment and have to wear dress clothes everyday, but have never felt quite comfortable in them. I feel the 16-year old rebellious version of myself would spit at me if he saw me, so I wear these shoes while choking in the starchiness of my dry-cleaned misery. It's like passive aggression. The shoes pass for formal, and people at the office and friends have complimented and asked me where I got them, etc. This is my second pair. I wore the other ones out til there was literally no sole and the rain soaked my socks.
