This shoe was great for skating. I didn't get any heel bruises or any pain from landing primo. They don't take that long to break in. This all makes the shoe sound perfect, which it almost is, but there are a few things that should be added. Maybe an extra layer of foxing tape around the kick flip area, triple stitching on the ollie area, and hidden lace loops. It might be a little wide, but my feet are extremely wide so it was a great fit. They wear down kind of fast but last a long, long time.

I'm a children's entertainer and I like the red DC shoes. My first experience with the DC shoe was about 6-8 years ago and when I put them on it they fit perfect!... nice padding around the upper, nice width and length and they needed no breaking in...it was like "putting on a hug" just beautiful!
The latest Red DC shoe though is not nearly as comfortable..it's narrower, not as padded in the sole and upper and needs considerable breaking in. It's still a nice shoe but doesn't have that "hug factor" that your earlier ones had.
I change my shoes about once a year..not because they wear out but they get soiled and lose their vibrant red which is not a complaint, it's just to be expected.I will continue to get the Red DC shoe butIt would be great though if you went back to the style and comfort you had a few years ago.

I have been wearing dc shoes for a long time. The Kalis Centric is one of the few newer models that felt true to length and width. The bubble/air makes these shoes really well padded. I wish the laces were a bit longer, but no big deal. The black shoes I ordered also came with set of white laces. I had a pair of JK7 shoes which fit well, so I stuck with Kalis shoes. As long as you can overlook some things, in my opinion you will be happy with these shoes.

The latest Red DC shoe though is not nearly as comfortable..it's narrower, not as padded in the sole and upper and needs considerable breaking in. It's still a nice shoe but doesn't have that "hug factor" that your earlier ones had.

I would not recommend this shoe for anyone. I recently purchased this shoe for my son about 10 days ago and have not in my entire life seen a shoe made as poorly as this. After about 5 days, they began to rip in the front and the there was discoloration forming around the edges. This shoe also provided zero support for my child's feet and was extremely uncomfortable.
