Where are the elastic tongue straps?

I have been buying white skate shoes for 14 years. I love the DC Court Graffik type shoes. That is, until DC stopped putting the elastic straps on the tongue. Why is that? Etnie is doing the same thing, and I no longer buy Etnies. So DC, differentiate your product! Bring back the tongue straps, styling is worthless without function and quality. Skateboarders don't want their shoes flying off during a kick flip, that is what the tongue straps are for. $0.50 cents or so saved manufacturing without them, $60+ dollars lost from me everytime I buy shoes, as I will not buy skate shoes without the straps.

These shoes are perfect for everyday wear. I bought them for my husband since he is relatively conservative with his dress appearance but as a tattoo artist needs shoes that won't absorb ink if it splashes. They are very easy to clean so this makes these shoes a perfect buy--especially since they match everything !

bought a pair online and took an "educated guess" as to size, when they arrived i was sure i needed the next size up. having the return form (if needed) with the receipt in the box was very easy. was so impressed (now that i knew the next size up was going to be perfect... i ordered a second pair. return/ order process was next to effortless and the credit to my account went without a hitch (with helpful update emails). These shoes are everywhere, for a reason. They look fantastic, they're durable, and they are comfortable. They come in so many colorways, you could have a pair for every mood.
These were my first nubuck Graffiks. I was wary at first, but they are just as nice as my top grain and suede Graffiks.
As with all DC Shoes, I have no idea what measuring stick they are using, but I normally wear a 9.5 - 10 in everything else, except DC Shoes. I must move all the way to an 11. I recommend trying a pair on at a local shop before snagging a great deal on-line, just to save on the return-turnaround. One comfort wish: I wish they had just a touch more cushion in the heel area.
