DC Shoes, Inc. Limited Warranty Policy & DC 3D Program

Policy covers snow specific Outerwear and Snowboard Boots

DC Shoes, Inc. warrants all DC Shoes snow specific Outerwear (soft goods) and Snowboard Boots to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase, when purchased from an authorized DC shoes dealer. If a product is found to be defective after inspection by a DC warranty technician, DC will repair or replace the product with an existing comparable model at DC’s discretion*. DC Shoes, Inc. will not be responsible for any damages, losses and/or costs incurred that result from the loss or usage of DC Shoes, Inc. products.

*In the event that the replacement model is not available, DC will try to replace the item through a participating dealer. If this is not an option the item will then be replaced when the replacement model or similar model becomes available.


DC Shoes, Inc. Limited Warranty Policy Limitations

Warranty policy is subject to the following limitations.

  • All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt from an Authorized DC dealer.
  • All warranty claims returned to DC must have prior return authorization.
  • In the event that the customer is unable to provide proof of purchase, the warranty period will be one(1) year from the date of manufacture of the model.
  • Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty.
  • A DC warranty coordinator will make the final call regarding defective materials and/or workmanship.

The following are excluded from coverage under the DC Shoes, Inc. Warranty Policy:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect and/or normal wear-and-tear.
  • Damage caused during storage.
  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in the materials or workmanship.
  • Improper fitting or sizing of products.
  • Impact damage resulting in structural, seam, sole, air bag, lacing system, and eyelets/lace loop and/or liner damage.
  • Damage caused by the use of solvents, adhesives, detergents and/or any other chemicals.
  • Modifications, changes and/or alterations made to the product by the customer.

Snowboard boot specific warranty exclusions (not covered)

  • Damage and/or wear caused by binding contact points (including de-lamination due to binding wear).
  • Damage caused by snowboard edge (including resting board edge on boot while riding chair lifts).
  • Damage and/or excessive wear from the use of snowmobiles.
  • Damage caused by any boot modification.
  • Damage caused by excessive and continuous heat and/or water. (Example, placing your boots in the oven or leaving them in the rain)

Outerwear specific warranty exclusions (not covered)

  • Rips and/or tears.
  • Seam breakage caused by a rip or tear.
  • Fading (from UV damage and/or the use of strong detergents)
  • Shrinking
  • Damage caused by improper care and/or maintenance (including color bleeding and/or the loss of water resistant qualities).
  • Seams that look like they might break or become undone.

 

 

DC 3D

The Warranty Program (how you get this done)

DC 3D is our three day warranty turnaround program developed by the riders for the riders! As part of our commitment to customer and rider satisfaction, our goal is to repair or replace your warranty product in three (business) days from when it was received. We advise that customers first try to process their warranty through a DC authorized dealer. (This is the fastest and easiest way)

First:

  • Thoroughly read and understand the warranty policy.
  • Gather information needed (receipts and/or any other documentation)

Second: Through a dealer (see third for direct consumer warranty assistants)

  • Take the product back to the original dealer.
  • Locate a DC authorized dealer (using the dealer search tool on the DC web site)
  • The dealer will help you process your warranty.

Third: Consumer direct warranty help

  • Call or e-mail the DC warranty department to obtain WA#:
  • Warranty issues call 888-532-3126
  • Warranty issues e-mail warranty@dcshoes.com
  • After contacting the DC warranty department
  • Ship your warranty promptly!
  • Include a copy of the original receipt.
  • Print the WA# on the outside of the box.
  • DC Shoes will not be liable for any items lost in transit, it is the customers responsibility to keep a record of the package tracking information.

Shipping:

DC will match and pay the return shipping expense! Customers are responsible for the shipping charges of their warranty item to DC Shoes. DC will then pay for the same type of shipping back to the customer.

International Warranty Claims:

  • Take the product back to the original dealer, or any authorized DC Shoes dealer (recommended).

Snowboard Boots:

  • Defective seams and/or stitching (boot and liners).
  • Sole de-laminations.
  • Defective eyelets, lace loops and/or any lacing parts.
  • Defective pull tabs and/or handles.
  • Defective pump and liner system.
  • Torn or broken ankle straps.
  • Defective Velcro traps.

Outerwear:

  • Defective sewing.
  • Defective cords, fasteners and/or cinches.
  • Defective zippers and/or zipper hardware.
  • Defective snaps/buttons.
  • Defective Velcro closures/straps.
